Your health data never leaves your device. Your cycles, symptoms, moods and notes are stored only in Shaden’s local database on your phone. We cannot read them, and they are not backed up to us or to anyone else.

What stays on your phone

Period dates, flow, blood colour, symptoms, moods, notes, your madhhab, your qada ledger, your PCOS questionnaire answers, and every conversation you have with Shaden. All of it lives in a database on the device. Deleting the app deletes it.

What we hold on a server

An account exists for three things, and holds only what they need:

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive whatever that service gives us — usually an email address, or a relay address if you chose to hide yours.

What is sent when you talk to Shaden

To answer a question about your cycle, Shaden needs some context. We send a summary made of numbers and of the labels you picked from our own lists — for example the day of your cycle, how long your cycles typically run, how much they vary, and which symptoms you logged in the last two weeks.

We do not send your notes, your conversation titles, or any text you typed. We do not send dates. The server checks the shape of that summary on arrival and rejects anything it does not recognise, so a future bug in the app cannot widen it.

Your message and that summary are processed by Anthropic to generate a reply. They are not used to train models.

What we never do

Payments

Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store your card details. We receive only confirmation of whether your subscription is active, tied to an identifier for your account, so that Plus works on your devices.

Deleting your data

Account → Delete all my data erases everything on the device. To delete your account and the small amount held on our server, email privacy@shaden.app and we will remove it.

Children

Shaden is not intended for use by anyone under 13.
